Description
The Fender Support Bracket, 1up-1down, is a heavy-duty aluminum bracket designed to mount dock fenders above and below the dock edge. With flexibility and strength in mind, this dual-sided bracket system provides maximum fender protection by allowing you to install fenders in an “up and down” mounting block, ideal for variable water levels and docking larger vessels.
Key Features
Dual-position design (1 up, 1 down): Allows for the mounting of the fender in two directions (one above the dock and one below), providing full side coverage and optimal impact absorption for a wider range of boats and waterline positions.
Heavy-duty aluminum frame: It is constructed from marine-grade aluminum, which gives supreme support at unbelievably low weight. It means that even when in contact with saltwater and exposure brackets will not bend, degrade, warp, or corrode.
Precisely welded frame: The bracket utilizes heavy-duty welds in the length-wise direction to ensure that area is structurally sound. Capable of accommodating repeat impacts on the dock, tidal activity, and heavy docking in busy marinas.
Pre-drilled for installation: The bracket comes pre-drilled, allowing you to fasten it securely to wooden or composite dock pilings. Standard stainless steel fasteners are sold separately.
Low-profile height: The bracket is designed to be flush with the dock mechanism, minimizing tripping hazards and enhancing the consistent, professionally looking layout of your entire waterfront docking system.
Additional Information
Method of Installation and Use: Place the mounting bracket on the dock face in the area where fender coverage is warranted. Mount with stainless steel hardware for corrosion resistance and durability. Insert fenders into the upper and lower arms of the bracket, allowing coverage for both the top edge of the dock and the submerged areas on both sides of the dock. Very useful for fixed docks; ideal for commercial waterfronts and private marina use.
Care and Maintenance: Inspect the corroded clamps, loose fasteners, and misalignment if any. Especially after every storm. If exposed to saltwater, make sure to rinse with freshwater so they maintain a clean look. Whenever needed, retighten bolts, screws, and clamps.
